The S&P 500 index lost the record highs on Tuesday and Dow rose again. It has been happening for eight sessions at a time. At the same time, investors were analyzing the mixed results of companies against the background of the fall expectations regarding the global economic growth.

The negative quarterly results of Netflix affected S&P 500 and Nasdaq. The strong profit of Johnson&Johnson and the optimism in the forecast of the company supported Dow. The International Monetary Fund lowered the expectations of the global growth in the next two years. It is because of the fact that there is the uncertainty, which is connected with the upcoming exit of the UK from the European Union.

However, last week S&P 500 and Dow rose to the record peak despite the concern about the economics, which was provoked by Brexit. However, the investors are closely watching for the results of the companies in order to understand whether an impulse of growth will be steady.

The Dow Jones index ended the trading session with an increase of 0.14 percent to 18.559,01 points, setting a new record at the moment of closing. This winning streak of Dow has been the longest since March 2013. The S&P 500 index lost 0.14 percent, falling to 2.163,78 points, while the Nasdaq Composite Index lost 0.38 percent to 5.036,37 points.

Eight of the ten major industry sectors of S & P 500 finished with the negative dynamics. Goldman Sachs shares fell by 1.2 percent, despite the fact that a creditor submitted reports about the 78-percent jump of the quarterly profit. Microsoft shares went up by 4 percent after the finish of the session on the background of the released results of the company. During the session Microsoft shares fell by 1.6 percent.
