On Thursday, 1 September the securities of Samsung Corporation lost 2 %. As reported by The Associated Press, it was due to the spread of rumors that there were documented cases of the battery explosion of Galaxy Note 7 smartphones.

It was previously reported that Samsung Corporation had postponed the start of the new smartphone Galaxy Note 7 at the South Korean market because of additional tests of the goods quality.

Moreover, Samsung didn’t report which part of the gadget was going to be tested.  Meanwhile, the site of the South Korean Yonhap News, informed that 6 copies of the device had exploded because of the battery fault. The site brings pictures from social networks, local forums and YouTube. However, at the same time it is reported that the authenticity of the pictures is questionable. There is no information that someone has suffered due to the ignition of the gadget battery.

The journalists have not received a response from the Corporation how they choose the phones to test and what methods they use for determining the safety of the device.

Problems in the battery pack in the latest smartphones are being observed for some years. Periodically similar cases occur with gadgets of various different companies. But in the case with Samsung the reaction was instantaneous. The company’s shares immediately lost two percent after the media reported about the incident.

Samsung faced a huge demand until it became aware of the delay in release of the new smartphone generation on the market. The company even had to suspend pre-orders, the number of which had exceeded the level of the pre-orders for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in three times. The latest generation of smartphones entered the market of South Korea and the United States on 19 August.

From the rest of the smartphones of the Galaxy family Note 7 is characterized by a scanner of the eye iris that allows you to unlock your phone just by looking at the screen center.
