The Russian currency has grown against the US dollar and euro at the opening of today’s session on the Moscow Stock Exchange. The ruble has been supported by the growing price of oil and the improved mood of investors.

On Monday the trade session on the US dollar has started with the transactions within 64,75-64,91 rubles per $ 1. The exchange rate has become equal to 64.81 rubles per $ 1 for the first two minutes. The euro was around 72.36 rubles / EUR1 at the opening of the session. The currency basket has fallen by 29.5 kopecks and became equal to 68.21 rubles.

The specialists of the “Interfax-CEA” believe that the increase of the ruble against the dollar is due to the rise in oil prices .Moreover, the ruble has grown because of the improved relations of the investors. At the beginning of Monday oil prices began to rise again on the news from Libya – the oil shipment has not been started in one of the captured port. Also, the statement of the president of Venezuela regarding the agreement on oil production freeze, which will be concluded soon, has influenced the prices growth. November futures for Brent oil have risen by 1.6% to $ 46.5 per barrel at the beginning of the day on the London Stock Exchange.

Also, at the end of the last week we got the news that the international rating agency S & P Global Ratings had published the revised forecast of the long-term ratings of the Russian Federation. The forecast has become stable due to a drop of external risks and ongoing adjustments in the economy.
