MarketWatch, an authoritative financial information site with a 20-year history has published the impressive information on the progress made by the cryptocurrency Bitcoin.

So, at the weekend the Bitcoin rate against the US dollar was 1: 3,000. That’s a record at the moment. Capitalization of this virtual currency also has reached a record level of $ 50 billion.

Unlike the MarketWatch portal, the specialized information resource on cryptocurrencies reported that during Saturday the maximum price for Bitcoins had been $ 3,360. The portal also said that yesterday, on Sunday at the close of the market, bitcoins had been worth $ 3,286.

Financial community is interested in the resource, too. With the help of this service it is possible to monitor the capitalization of any currently existing cryptocurrency in real time.

Using the graphs of the site, you can also estimate the volume of trading of any cryptocurrency for a certain period.
According to estimates of this site, the market capitalization of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin was $ 53.4 billion yesterday.
On August 1, the block chain of Bitcoin was divided into two independent chains. Thus, instead of one, two currencies were formed: Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. The ticker of the first currency is BTC, the second is BCC, BCH.

On the news of the division, Bitcoin became cheaper in price by about 5%. However, a couple of days later the cryptocurrency was able to recoup (the increase over the past week was about 10%).

In 2017, the Bitcoin rate overcame two psychological marks: $ 2,000 at the end of the spring and $ 3,000 yesterday. Thus, this cryptocurrency has grown about three times in less than 8 months.

High volatility does not prevent investors from paying more and more attention to the cryptocurrency market. The financial world is gradually turning away from traditional speculations with currencies or shares and adopting the trade with decentralized virtual monetary units.
