The authoritative financial portal MarketWatch reported that for the first time the American company Apple had decided to place bonds in Canadian dollars.

The financial documents of Apple, sent to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), became accessible to the journalists of the portal. According to the papers, Apple made bonds available for purchase in the total amount of 1.9 billion US dollars (2.5 billion Canadian dollars) .The yield of the seven-year priority bonds is 2.513%.

The placement was organized by the companies: BMO Capital Markets, Goldman Sachs, RBC Capital Markets and HSBC. The allocation amount is at a record high for the Canadian dollar.
The American high-tech company Apple plans to spend the received money for the share payment.
