Today, two new services have been launched by AliExpress, the world’s largest online retailer. The first one is an international social network for customers of the popular trading platform “Shopping Club”, the second service is the so-called “Bloggers’ exchange” called AliExpress Connect.

The project “Shopping Club” is a logical continuation of the iTao platform. On this platform, buyers share their impressions of the orders made on the service. For Russian customers of AliExpress, this network has been integrated into a mobile application of the store. By the way, the representatives of AliExpress specified that the application was the main sales channel for the platform (the share of sales is 60%).

“Bloggers’ exchange” is know-how of the Chinese retailer. The idea of AliExpress Connect is to provide a number of authorized bloggers with the ability to post reviews on products. Of course, bloggers will not try for free. The content has been monetized and the brands themselves pay for reviews. It is assumed that the buyers will subscribe to bloggers and will be able to follow their recommendations. The Exchange considers bloggers with the audience of more than five thousand people. A high user rating is a must for the store, which orders a review.

Of course, such large-scale new services will have a positive impact on the stock quotes of the retailer.

AliExpress prefers to keep secret the data on the amount of site visits as well as a number of orders made. However, according to the estimates of the company SimilarWeb, in the first month of this year, was visited by 727 million unique visitors.

The Chinese believe that the future of retailers belongs to bloggers, that’s why they plan to integrate more sales into social networks.
