March of the current year in particular and the entire first quarter in general have become record-breaking for the German automaker Daimler AG. It’s about the sales of luxury cars produced under the Mercedes-Benz brand.

According to the results of the reporting period, a press release was published. It recorded that during March the sales of Mercedes-Benz cars had grown by 3.9%. (in comparison with the same period last year). In absolute figures, during March the concern managed to sell 237,307 cars of the prestigious brand.

For the first quarter, 594,304 Mercedes were sold, which is 6% more than during the same period last year.

There is an increase in demand for brand-new Mercedes in Europe as a whole, and in native for the cars Germany in particular. The German sales have increased by 5.2% for the quarter, in Europe the quarterly sales growth amounted to 2.1%.

The Asia-Pacific region also showed excellent dynamics. It should be noted that China has the biggest growth in sales. The Celestial Empire bought up 169,932 prestigious cars and increased the quarterly figure of realized production by 17.2%. It should be noted that about 65% of cars sold in China were assembled at local plants.

The decrease was shown only in North America – there the sales decreased by 2.7% in a month; according to the results of the quarter, the decline was 0.8%.

It is worth noting that the cars produced under the Mercedes-Benz brand were ahead of BMW even two years ago and won worldwide recognition in the category “The largest sales volume in the luxury category.” During two years, the brand’s positions became stronger, which positively affects the dynamics of the stock price growth of the auto concern.
