The growth rate of China’s economy fell by 6.4% in the last quarter of the past year. This is the minimum over the last ten years. A conflict with the United States and difficulties in retail became the reason for the slowdown in the growth.

Official figures say that the economic growth has аmounted to 6.6%. This is a little more than the forecasts, but this rate can be compared only with that observed in the Celestial Empire in the 90s.

Statistics show that the slowdown began in the second quarter of the past year, when the relations with America began to get complicated. After the abolition of benefits in China car sales began to reduce. The measures taken to stimulate the market, including tax cuts, are yet to produce results.

The level of GDP for the fourth quarter has coincided with the market expectations.
The growth of the gross product in 2017 was changed and reduced to 6.8% from 6.9% – such data was provided by the statistical office.

The material was prepared with the participation of Katya Gordon,
a leading analyst of the brokerage company CT Trade
