The financial performance of Xiaomi Corp has significantly grown over the past year. The electronics manufacture has recorded the growth in all business segments.

According to the company’s report, the net profit has reached 13.5 billion yuan. For comparison, in 2017 there was a loss of 44 billion.

The revenue for the year has increased by more than half to 175 billion yuan.

Despite the fact that the global phone market has decreased, Xiaomi managed to supply almost one third more devices than in 2017. This segment has shown the revenue of 113.8 billion yuan, which is 40% more than the statistics for 2017.

Internet of Things also shows a great growth. The number of TVs sold under the brand Xiaomi has grown to 8.4 million units. Also there are new appliances, such as air conditioners and washing machines. The revenue of this segment has totaled 43.8 billion yuan. Internet services can also boast of the increased revenue. It has amounted to 16 billion yuan. Advertising revenue has increased by 80% – up to 10 billion.

The company’s activity outside China has also expanded. Overseas trade has brought Xiaomi 70 billion yuan. Its share in the total trade has totaled 40%. In 2017, this figure was 28%.

According to the statistics, Xiaomi has been the most popular smartphone in India for 6 quarters. In Indonesia, the brand takes the second place;  in Europe it is the fourth.

The company’s shares were listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange last July. Since that time, capitalization has fallen by almost 30%. On Tuesday, the shares grew by 2.5%.

Xiaomi is one of the four largest manufacturers of smartphones. In addition, it produces tablets, laptops, televisions, watches and other equipment.
