According to the Georgian media, this year Georgia will pay over $ 1.5 million to lobbying firms operating in America. This amount is indicated in the treaty and the continued contract on trade and investment advisory services.

According to the media reports, the Georgian Government has signed a contract for $ 750 million with the company H & K. In fact, Georgia has paid for the promotion of the country in order to increase trade and attract investment funds.

H & K has committed to establish contacts of the Georgian Government with business groups, legislators (of the federal and local levels) and the public. This should help develop trade and business relations between the countries.

The American company will conduct public surveys, expand the business coalition and find members for it, as well as create a website and develop a plan to include businessmen and political leaders in trade and investment.

In addition, Georgia will continue their agreement with Chartwell, providing advice on the development of relations and attracting direct investment.

The contract with Chartwell, which is financed from the reserve fund, cost $ 780 thousand. The same contract, concluded last year, cost 600 thousand US dollars for the small country.

America is the seventh among the largest trade partners of Georgia. In 2018, the trade turnover of the two countries amounted to almost 520 million US dollars. In terms of direct investment the US ranks 4th. It invested about 104 million US dollars in Georgia.
