According to Xinhua, Huawei has demonstrated the first 5G smartphone in Kuwait. The device is designed for selling in the Asian market.

The model of the new device is called Mate 20 X. Its presentation was held in Al Farwaniya.

The smartphone is equipped with a HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor and a Balong 5000 modem operating with a 5G standard. The gadget has got 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB drive and a SD card slot, the capacity of which can be up to 256 GB.

The phone has a 7.5 inch OLED display with “bangs”. You can print a text using a stylus. The phone has 3 cameras with 40, 20 and 8 MP, respectively. Selfie camera has 24 MP. The battery capacity is 4200 mAh. Android 9.0 Pie runs the phone. The latest version of the smartphone released in 2018 did not have 5G support.

In Kuwait, sales will begin on 18 July, in China – on 26 July. The cost of pre-order in China and the UAE is $ 1,100.

As for the US market, the start of sales in America was not announced for obvious reasons. We recall that such neglect was caused by the restrictions imposed by the States on Huawei.

There are no sales of the device in the Russian Federation since there is no 5G call service there. The government has already begun to deal with this matter and instructed state corporations to launch networks. However, there are still no dates regarding the start of the work on a new network standard.
