The ruble has fallen against the dollar and the euro on Tuesday
On Tuesday the US dollar and the euro have slightly risen at the start of the trading session on the Moscow Stock Exchange. The ruble has retreated amid the falling oil prices.
The bidding on the dollar started with the transactions within 64,76-64,92 rubles/$1 on the exchange on Tuesday . On the average the exchange rate became equal to 64.83 rubles /$ in the first 3 minutes. At the same time the euro was worth 73.52 rub. / EUR1. The currency basket has risen by 7 kopecks and became equal to 68.74 rubles.
Herewith the dollar has been 62 kopecks above the level of the current official exchange rate; the euro – 7 kopecks higher than the official rate. The experts of the “Interfax-CEA” say that a slight fall of the ruble against the dollar can be explained by the fact that the oil continues to fall. On the eve the oil prices fell by more than 3%. The raw material continues to fall in price on Tuesday because of the new incoming data, which indicate that the oversupply in the market is maintained. Quotations of October futures contracts for Brent crude oil has fallen within the limits of 0.5% up to $ 48.9 per barrel to the beginning of the day on the London Stock Exchange.
