The ruble is growing against the euro at the start of the session on Monday
At the start of the session on Monday morning the US currency has been almost unchanged on the Moscow stock exchange. The euro is going down. The ruble positions have strengthened due to the growth of Brent crude oil quotations to the index of $ 50 per barrel.
The first deals on the dollar have been held within 62,78-62,85 rubles per $ 1. The exchange rate has become equal to 63.8 rubles per $ 1 for the first 1.5 minutes of the trade. Wherein, the euro has become equal to 70.45 rubles per 1 euro. A currency basket has fallen by 10 kopecks and has become equal to 66.245 rubles.
The analysts of the “Interfax-CEA” explain the strong position of the Russian currency by the increase of global oil prices.
On Monday morning oil has been falling in price because of the market anxiety that the OPEC agreements won’t influence the change in supply and demand balance in the market. Then the oil has almost leveled the fall and has fixed at above $ 50 per barrel for the first time since the beginning of last month.
To the beginning of the day Brent crude oil for December has changed by less than 0.2% and has amounted to $ 50.2 per barrel on the London Stock Exchange.
