January 3, 2017 is the date of the Moscow Stock Exchange opening
After New Year holidays the Moscow Stock Exchange will open its doors on January 3, 2017. This is one day earlier than in January 2016. In addition, the organizer of the bidding noted that there would be two additional days off in February 2017. During the Christmas holidays all exchange markets will have such dates of the official holidays: December 31, 2016 – January 2, 2017 and 7-9 January, 2017. Also, Moscow Stock Exchange will be closed on February 23 and 25-26. From 3 to 6 January and 24 February all the tools will be traded at the precious metals market and the currency market, except for the transactions with the date of fulfillment of obligations on the trade day ( calculations “today”) as well as swap transactions.
Also, the trades on the market of standardized derivative financial instruments won’t be carried out. Trading on the stock and derivatives markets is planned to be conducted in the normal mode. New Year holidays in the Russian Federation will be held from December 31, 2016 to January 8, 2017.
