In September the industrial production of the Russian Federation decreased contrary to the growth predictions
Despite the fact that analysts expressed the growth expectation of the industrial production by 0.6 per cent in the Russian Federation, their forecast hasn’t come true. They were being interviewed during the poll, which was organized by Reuters. According to Rosstat, in September 2016 the industrial production of the Russian Federation decreased by 0.8 percent in annual terms and by 0.3 percent against August.
The experts, who were interviewed by the informational agency, expected that the industrial production would grow by 0.6 per cent.
In August the industrial production rose by 0.7 per cent. This growth can be explained by a calendar factor.
According to Rosstat, the industrial production has increased by 0.3 percent for the first 9 months of this year.
The forecast from the Ministry of Economic Development predicts the growth of this indicator by 0.4 percent this year.
In the III quarter the index has fallen by 0.1 percent against the same period of 2015, but it has increased by 2.3 percent in quarterly terms.
In September the manufacturing industries decreased to 1.6 per cent in annually terms. Last month they rose by 0.1 percent.
The growth of mineral extraction increased its pace to 2.1 per cent (in August – 1.8 percent).
The production and distribution of the electricity, gas and water increased by 1.4 percent compared to the growth of 1.3 per cent in August.
