The authoritative economic and business portal MarketWatch has published the data on the amount of orders received by two eternal rivals Boeing Inc and Airbus Group SE at the air show in Le Bourget. Avia giant Boeing Inc signed contracts for 75 billion US dollars, while the managers of the corporation Airbus Group SE managed to close orders, totaling $ 40 billion.
In the world’s most popular air show at the French airport Le Bourget, the novelty from Boeing was presented to the public – the narrow-body 737 Max 10. This is the largest aircraft of this class; it is the most economical narrow-body aircraft of the concern.
The price of this type of aircrafts is significantly lower than the wide-body analogues; the increased number of passenger seats also gives the economic attractiveness.
Model 737 Max 10 will compete with a narrow-body aircraft from Airbus – A321neo. This popular model has 65% of the orders of the French aircraft manufacturer.
Boeing can boast 361th applications for the new 737 Max 10, which are available as а part of the dealership.
The aircraft of this model will be delivered in about three years, in 2020.
The news undoubtedly influenced the direction of the stock prices movement of two major automakers. Boeing’s growth trend will continue for some time as well as the trend for a slight decrease in Airbus.
