The authoritative edition the Financial Times reported on the market analysts’ concerns regarding Apple Inc. The fact is that the company has problems with suppliers of necessary details, threatening the timely release of new models of popular smartphones to the market.
Traditionally, the release of new models is always dedicated to the beginning of a new business year (i.e., in September). This allows the profit and proceeds from the sale of new products to be taken into account in the fourth financial quarter of this year.
If you postpone the release of the products to the market for at least a month, their sales will be reflected in the reports only next year. And this will certainly affect overall annual results of the company.
The problem arose because of the decision of the company’s management to equip the new models with screens made of organic LEDs. It is planned that the entire front surface of the smartphone will display the information. There will be no more frames as on previous IPhone generations.
The fact is that the market is experiencing a clear lack of displays of this type that slows the release of the next-generation phones.
But it was Samsung Electronics Co. that benefited from this situation. The company headquartered in Seoul has no problems with suppliers, so the presentation of the new model Galaxy Note 8 is likely to take place as scheduled, on August, 23.
This news will certainly affect the quotations of the both companies.
