This forecast says that in 2018, the world advertising spending will grow by 4.3%, or by 23 billion US dollars, while the digital segment will ensure an almost full growth. Unprecedented increase in costs for television advertising in the next year is expected by 2.2%, for digital advertising – by 11.3%.
At the same time, according to the international business newspaper Financial Times, this year the cost of advertising of digital media sources will exceed the cost of television commercials at least in 17 countries, including the UK and Germany. So Mars, HP, Deutsche Bank and Mondelez refused to cooperate with YouTube’s video service owned by Google, after their ads were shown alongside obscene video clips.
