Representatives of the EU Council announced that they could not reach agreement with the European Parliament on the next year’s budget.

“It’s a pity, but today we haven’t reached an agreement on a budget plan,” said Hartwig Leger, Minister of Finance of Austria.

We recall that Austria currently holds the Presidency of the European Union.

“During the negotiations, the Council tried to find a solution that Europe needed to solve possible problems in the future. However, we will continue to work on the agreement. It should be favourable to all parties and will be ready by the end of this year,”- noted the Minister.
