Referring to their own sources, the authoritative agency Bloomberg has reported that by 2021, Apple is going to combine the development of applications for such devices as iPhone, iPad and Mac.
This will provide an opportunity to increase the sales and significantly reduce the cost of software development. So far, it is only about combining applications. iOS and MacOS will remain the independent systems for smartphones and computers.
The decision to merge applications isn’t a novelty; earlier such a step was taken at Microsoft. They introduced the Universal Windows Platform, which made it possible to develop programs for various devices.
Bloomberg also reports that at the upcoming conference of developers, which will be held in early summer in San Jose, Apple can present not only universal software environment, but also new Mac Pros with the improved performance.
