Securities of Norilsk Nickel fall because of the news about the reduction of dividends

The shares of the largest Russian company Norilsk Nickel have fallen by 3% on Wednesday morning. The statement of the official representatives of the company on the reduction of dividend payments caused this fall. The stock price rolled back to the figure that was observed by the market two weeks ago. This decrease has affected the major indexes.

The shares have slipped to 13.870 rubles when the trade volumes are 0.746 billion rubles. The index of the Moscow Exchange was equal to 2512.75, while RTS has fallen to 1226.49.

In the interview with Bloomberg, Mr. Potanin, the head of Norilsk Nickel, said that he was going to have a dialogue with RusAl about changing the dividend payment policy. The company has ambitious plans and needs investments. For this reason, the payments must be reduced.
