Telegram plans to begin a public testing of its blockchain network called TON. Pavel Durov’s company expects to launch full-fledged tests on September 1.
When testing launches, gcd codes will appear, that is, the main nodes of the network that will ensure the operation of the blockchain. A manual for installing them will also appear in the public domain. When this information is releases, developers will be able to create their own Telegram blockchain nodes.
Last year, the company raised $ 1.7 billion to create its blockchain. The team said that its distributed network would work much faster than Bitcoin and Ethereum. What is more, it will be able to compete with Visa and MC. Whether it turns out to be true or not, we will soon find out. Telegram has promised investors that the network will start operating no later than November this year.
