Elon Musk said that the company was planning to build the first plant in Europe. The German capital has been chosen for this purpose. It will be the fourth plant built by Tesla. We recall that at the moment, the innovative automaker has got two factories in the States and one in Shanghai. It is planned not only to build a “gigafactory” in Berlin, but also to change the location of the engineering development center (including design) in favor of the German capital.
In principle, it’s not the first time when Elon Musk is toying with the idea of entering the European market more seriously. Berlin was chosen because the German capital is well-known as a leader in the field of world design (primarily industrial).
Tesla’s European branch plans to focus on the production of Model Y crossovers and Model 3 sedans.
