November PMI in Russia has fallen to 10-year lows.
Analysts at the reputable information provider IHS Markit have conducted a study and revealed a disappointing tendency. Experts have estimated that for the 11 month of this year, the PMI index of manufacturing industries in the Russian Federation have dropped to 45.6 points. In October, the same indicator was 47.2 points. The last time such index values were observed 10 years ago – in the spring of 2009.
It is well known that this index shows healthy growth in business activity when its value exceeds 50 points. If PMI is less than 50, then this indicates stagnation in business activity.
By the way, the decline in business activity in the industrial sector of the Russian Federation has been observed for half a year, which makes us think about serious problems of the industry.
