The capital of France suffers from transport collapse because of strike
December 09
09:00 2019

The company RATR runs the transport system in the French capital. Its representatives say that 10 of the 16 lines of the Paris underground will not function today due to the ongoing strike of transport workers.

Residents of the capital and its guests are not advised to count on public transport when planning moving around the city. In addition to the underground, trams with buses will operate in a limited mode.

A mass strike provoked by the pension reform started on December 5. The changes affected payment benefits for difficult working conditions and the rules for early retirement. On Thursday, the strike took place not only in Paris, but throughout France; it also affected air traffic.

Experts expect that tomorrow the strike will be nationwide too. Of course, these large-scale riots will negatively affect the financial performance of the country and some French assets.
