In 2019, Volvo recorded an increase in car sales under its brand for 6 times in a row.
In a press release issued on this occasion, the company said that for the entire 93-year history, it was the first time when they had managed to sell more than 700 thousand cars. Over 2019, Volvo has sold 705.4 thousand cars. This is almost 10% more than last year.
An increase in the share of Volvo in regional markets has become the reason for such an impressive success for the European automaker. Growth rates were higher than the average market. The company’s share has grown in China, America and Europe.
In the Russian Federation, Volvo sold almost 8.5 thousand cars in 2019. This is 14% more than in 2018.
In the United States, the company’s sales have increased 10%. For the first time since 2007, they have managed to sell more than 100 thousand cars, namely 108.2 thousand.
A new sales record has been set in Britain. The sales volume has been kept here since 1990.
Germany can boast significant growth. It was possible to sell more than 50 thousand cars. This is the largest amount for all the time Volvo has worked in this market.
The largest growth was recorded in China. The company has sold almost 20% more cars – 154.9 thousand. This is a record growth indicator in a particular region.
