Jeff Bezos has sold $ 1.8 billion in shares

Everyone knows Jeff Bezos. A talented businessman has founded Amazon, the largest online retailer. He runs the company that has changed the shopping world. It has become known that Mr. Bezos continues to sell the shares of his company.

On January 31 and February 3, the businessman sold 905,456 thousand securities, the total value of which is 1.84 billion US dollars. This has become known thanks to the securities sent to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

By the way, the day before yesterday, Amazon’s capitalization exceeded a trillion US dollars.

This is not the first time when he sells shares. In late summer, Jeff Bezos sold $ 1 billion in shares; at the beginning of summer, $ 1.8 billion worth of securities were sold. It remains a mystery what prompted the businessman to such radical actions.

Stock sales have not negatively affected asset quotes. Amazon shares showed an increase of 11% at preliminary trading yesterday. Over the year, the online retailer’s capitalization has grown by a quarter, surpassing the stock index Standard & Poor’s 500 by about 5%.
