Binance DEX, one of the leaders on the cryptocurrency market, has announced a launch of its new testnet on July 9. This advanced solution is designed for the Binance Smart Chain ecosystem. As part of the launch of the new testnet, two chains will be launched as well, namely the Ganges testnet and the Chapel testnet.
This has become known from the Twitter account of the Binance team. As of the moment, the new testnet will not be accessible widely because it has to meet all procedural requirements. However, once it is done, which is expected to happen on July 10, the users will receive additional information.
The new testnet contains important upgrades and additions to Binance Chain Node, Binance Chain CLI, Binance Smart Chain, and the API. New features include, but are not limited to, the introduction of the new BEP8 token, BUSD trading pairs, improvements to functionality, governance commands, improvement of cross-chain communication, better error management, and improvements in scalability.
After the release of the new testnet, Binance will continue working on upgrades pertaining to its Smart Chain, including the launches of Staking UI, Millau testnet to replace Chapel, Danube testnet to replace Nile and Ganges, and other upgrades, which are set to complete with the improvement of the Binance Chain’s mainnet.
