John McAfee, the creator of Ghost Coin cryptocurrency, has launched Ghost data service for cell phones, focused on privacy. This service will allow customers to access 4G data without having a SIM-card. Moreover, it is available to use in over 50 countries and connects with major cell phone producers.
The new project has received the name “Ghost Cell Phone Data Service,” according to Bitcoin.com. This service promises to allow the users to connect to 4G networks in a private manner, as John McAfee announced. It has been in testing since July 3. Globally, the service will become available to its users in September.
Just like the private and decentralized nature of blockchain network, the Ghost phone service will hide data of its users. The traffic will move through multiple service anonymously. Thus, it will not be possible to trace it back to the users. Because the service relies on eSIM technology, the users actually do not even need to have a physical SIM-card to connect.
The new service is a part of a whole Ghost ecosystem by John McAfee. Apart from this service, it includes Ghost Coin, a cryptocurrency asset, as well as a private cryptocurrency trading and exchange platform GhostX.
